SQUARE² Pouch Illustration Book

Since March 2021, Kiblind has had a monthly challenge on Instagram for illustrators to contribute to an issue of an illustrated book called “SQUARE ².” Make four strips according to the golden rule: a square in the center of the first image, 4 boxes, 4 sides, and a variation in 4 colors. After being published on Instagram, season 1 of SQUARE ² is now available in 16 covers, each containing the 4 Leporello strips of the 16 artists who participated in the challenge.

Cristina Daura is a rising digital illustrator based in Barcelona, Spain. Her illustrations are constructed primarily in Photoshop using brilliant, almost garish primary colors to create striking, thematically complicated images.

María Jesús Contreras illustrations are inspired by her early age and the 90’s style, especially the colorful posters of supermarkets and other stores. She loves working with analog techniques like risograph printing. Maria is currently exploring posters from the 70s and psychedelia, while most of her drawings feature animals and different creatures.
